Towdah Sounds Wins An Award At NGMA19

The national gospel music awards which was held on the 15th of February at the  church of Pentecost auditorium Bantama was described as very successful free and fair.
The award scheme rewarded deserving artiste who have worked hard in the industry.

Towdah sounds also won an award in the category of : Group of the year with their song "Simply Amazing" Which is now trending.
 Towdah Sounds was formed by Mrs Mirian Annan a wife of a Pastor Joojo Annann a pastor at the Everlasting Covenant Gospel church where Rev. Michael Ohene Okantah  presides.

Asking the group how they feel about their victory, they told musicgh 1 that they were excited about the awards.
The "Simply Amazing" hit makers thanked God for how far he has brought them and also to thank their spiritual father, and mother  Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah and for their prayer support...
The group said, the song Simply Amazing is the original composition of the group leader dedicated to her  mother and husband.
Towdah Sounds has promised their fans nothing but the best in the coming years.
 I want to thank everyone who voted for us. I also want to thank the organizers who made the national gospel music awards  successful.

The awards scheme, which is in its third year, recognizes and celebrates the work of gospel musicians and also showcases their talent and success, was organized by the global expect recovery, in collaboration with Nhyira and Luv FM .

Bethel Revival Choir Invades 2020 With A Continental Recognition



Contemporary gospel music group, Bethel Revival Choir, have commenced the new year with a striking attention.

The group have been nominated at the 2020 edition of the most prestigious continental music award scheme, Maranatha African Continental Awards (MACOA 2020).

The contemporary gospel choir under the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), Kotobabi in Accra has over the few years, come from all odds to become buzzworthy at the Entertainment Industry across the board after blessing the industry with "Vovome" which had multiple award-winning gospel performer, Joe Mettle.

The group captured the attention of the Ghanaian gospel fraternity due to their ability to ‘modernize’ traditional songs coupled with their amazing vocal delivery.

They had recorded outstanding performances at the gospel fraternity last year whiles they emerged winners in all three categories they were nominated at the 2019 edition of 3Music Awards, being, Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Act of the Year and Group of the Year respectively.

In the same year, the group broke the spell that has been hanging around the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Since 2000, no gospel group had ever won the award of "Group of the Year" until the invasion of Bethel Revival Choir. These achievements of the choir catapulted them of becoming the people's favorite and without being relent, they've permeated the new year with a continental recognition.

Being nominated at the "Best Gospel Music Duo/Band Marbeanatha Africa" category of the 2020 edition of MACO, Bethel Revival Choir will be competing with Ancers Music Group of DR. Congo, The Gratitude choir from Nigeria, Healing Worship Team from Rwanda and Joyous Celebration choir of South Africa.

The leader of the group reacting to the nomination expressed happiness, urged Ghanaians and music fans to vote in their numbers to enable the group win the category.

"This is a great achievement. To be nominated alongside Joyous celebration in Africa is an honour done us".

Concerning voting, it is of two folds.

"First phase commenced on January 7 and ends on March 7. Second phase starts same day and ends on April 7 as well. We urge all Ghanaians to vote massively for Bethel Revival Choir" he said.

Maranatha African Continental Awards is designed to acknowledge authentic biblical worship music and to honour exceptional individuals from around the globe.

Daughters Of Glorious Jesus Back with a new release 'Y'aseda Dwom


Legendary Ghanaian gospel music group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus has bounced back to the music scene in a grand style.

The group comprising Cynthia, Edna, and Monica, has dropped a song expressing their gratitude to God titled ‘Y’aseda Dwom’.

‘Y’aseda Dwom’ was produced by Kaywa with a lively video directed by Sky web videos.

“We are so grateful to God Almighty for what He has done for this group, how far he has brought us and where is taking us,” Cynthia, spokesperson and member of the group, told Becky on a yet to air episode of the ‘E WITH BECKS’ show.

According to her, the song came up as an inspiration from the Bible verse Psalm 116:12-19.

Speaking on their music video, they said even though they are trying to catch up with the younger generation, they are mindful of anything they do and seek directions from God.
